Our Story

Across Seven began with a simple ache: festivals feel different when you're far from home. We make premium South Asian festival gift boxes, handcrafted in India, delivered across the UK, so the traditions that raised us can arrive at any doorstep, anywhere.

The Festivals That Raised Us

I'm Aashna. I grew up between Delhi and Jaipur, where festivals weren't events — they were the architecture of the year. Rakhi meant choosing each rakhi individually, one for every brother; beautiful traditional outfits; the decorations; the excitement of the gifts. Janmashtami meant celebrating Laddu Gopal — dressing him with care — and a joyous reunion of family and friends.

Then I moved to the UK in 2022. My first Diwali away from home, I sat on a video call watching my family celebrate without me, secretly wanting to cry. It was never the same.

That's when I understood: distance doesn't just separate you from people. It separates you from rituals. And rituals are how we remember who we are.

The gap I couldn't unsee

Every year, millions of South Asians in Britain celebrate our festivals — and every year, we make do. Rakhis bought last-minute that feel like an afterthought. Pooja items hunted across three postcodes. Beautiful traditions reduced to whatever we could improvise.

The gifting world had luxury for every occasion except ours. I looked for a box I'd be proud to send my brother — something that honoured the craft, the meaning, the weight of the day — and it simply didn't exist.

So I built it.

Made properly, or not at all

Every Across Seven box begins in India, with artisans in Jaipur, Alwar and Delhi, and with me and my family walking market after market, selecting each piece individually. I go myself. I choose every element by hand. Nothing in these boxes is filler; every piece is something I'd place on my own family's table.

This is a consumer-first brand in the oldest sense: I make what I wished existed, to the standard I'd demand as the customer.

Why now

We live in a moment when the world feels like it's pulling apart — when people are told, in ways loud and quiet, to go back to where they came from. Across Seven is my soft answer to that noise: you don't have to go back to find home. Home can arrive at your door.

Every box we send is a small act of continuity. A thread tied across seven seas. Proof that traditions don't dilute when they travel — they deepen.

This is for everyone building a life far from where their story began. Wherever you are — celebrate like you never left.
